ICYMI! LOGO (@LogoTV) Releases “Noah’s ARC” on YouTube; Reboot Rumors Swirl!

It is hard to believe it has been almost fifteen years since Noah’s ARC debuted on LOGO and we have to say it is was love at “first watch.” The epic love story between Noah (Darryl Stephens), and his seemingly straight, boyfriend, Wade (Jensen Atwood), opened new avenues for gay storytelling and inspired masses of gay films, projects, and marketing. We dare say Moonlight owes its success, in part, to the doors this series opened. LOGO recently dropped full episodes of the series on YouTube and reboot rumors are swirling!

Jensen Atwood and Darryl Stephens as “Noah and Wade”

Both seasons of Noah’s ARC are currently running via LOGO’s YouTube, prompting many to wonder if the network is rebooting the series. The series’ cancellation in 2006 was highly controversial as it was easily the network’s flagship series and its most highly rated one. What is interesting is that LOGO chose to drop the series on YouTube, which has become prime real estate for the web series we know and love. Perhaps this is the new format the series could be picked back up on. However, if we are talking reboots we either want a complete reboot of the series with a new set of guys as Noah, Alex, Ricky, and Chance; or a continuation of the original cast, updating where they are in life nearly fifteen years later.

One of the Original King’s of Comedy, DL Hughley was raised a Jehovah’s Witness in Los Angeles and no stranger to his neighborhood gangs, which provided a sense of structure, family and community. His sister’s teenage pregnancy led him to leave the church, giving him a crash course in resiliency that later helped him while pursuing his comedy career. DL dropped out of high school, joined the LAPD Academy, quit and eventually married his wife of over 30 years to start a family. As the star and producer of his namesake television show that ran on ABC and UPN “The Hughleys,” DL is also well known as one of the standout comedians on the hit comedy docu-film “The Original Kings of Comedy.” He has an unapologetic work ethic and is dedicated to providing for his loved ones. “The Flash” Star, Grant Gustin, Honors “Arrow’s” Stephen Amell in Moving Post

DC Comics fans are heartbroken over The CW’s decision to cancel Arrow after it next, and eighth season. The announcement was made earlier this week by the network that the series would end later this year after a half-season culminating in the network’s annual superhero crossover event. Many are concluding that Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) is set to die in the event. The Flash is just one of a number of spin-off series of Arrow, collectively dubbed by fans as the “Arrowverse;” and its star, Grant Gustin, has recently broken his silence on his feelings on the cancellation.

It kinda just hit me this morning that Arrow will be leaving us next year. Ever since I started doing this, it’s always been “Flash & Arrow” (or really this should of said “Arrow & Flash” on it’s cover….right, Stephen?)We don’t get to see a lot of each other, because we both work very similar schedules, on different shows, for 9 1/2 months out of the year. But when we’re brought together for those grueling crossover episodes, it always results in something pretty special. And not JUST a special kind of hell. It’s just absolutely bananas to stand around with that many people in super suits, and get paid to play make believe on tv. It’s something that wouldn’t happen year after year if it weren’t for the groundwork that Arrow, Stephen and the whole cast and crew laid for us. Not just that, but Stephen has always brought a different kind of passion to his show and the whole Arrowverse. It’s always been clear to me how much it means to Stephen to have the privilege of getting to go on this journey as Oliver Queen. And how much care he’s always put towards it. I will never forget ohh soo many memories we shared together during our hundreds, if not thousands of hours of crossover filming. Thank you to everyone who was a part of making Arrow for letting me come on this journey with you all. Congratulations on a badass show that will live on forever. I’ll never forget binge watching season one and being scared shitless my first day on set, seeing you all in person. Stephen, you’re a legend. Maybe this means we can hang out more?

As DC Comics fanboys we really hate to see Arrow cancelled, it is one of our favorite series. Still, we wonder is there a place for Green Arrow elsewhere in the Arrowverse. We love DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, but the show could use a more serious tone to it. Team Arrow will be greatly missed. Let’s enjoy these last few episodes guys (wipes tear away).
