Roses are red, violets are blue, Donald Trump is a fool, and if you voted for him SO ARE YOU!

It is another day and our current President proves yet again to be un-presidendential in his response to any type of resistance to him. As you know, Trump went after the NFL last night, urging them to fire players who decided to join Colin Kaepernick in his protest against the National Anthem. Then this morning, he set his sights on the NBA!

Trump apparently rescinded Stephen “Steph” Curry’s invitation to the White House due to his “hesitation” about deciding to come.

Typically, the championship team will visit the White House in celebration of their win — but Steph doesn’t want to go.

“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” Donald tweeted Saturday morning. “Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!”

Interestingly, Steph had already said on Friday night, bluntly, he did not want to go. Thus, Trump rescinded an invitation that was already rejected. Like many Americans, Steph has always been openly critical of Trump’s administration and his decision not to attend does not come as a shocker.

Clearly Trump has nothing better to do, like run than country, so he had taken his free time to attack professional athletes. The last time we checked North Korea has been threatening to detonate hydrogen bombs, but Steph Curry and the NFL are of higher priority it seems.

That’s y’all President though…

A “Sports-cast!” Super Bowl LIV Atlanta Falcons defeat New England Patriots 28-24

Don’t call me Miss Cleo but I sense a rematch for Super Bowl 54. Sometimes in sports rematches make for Cinderella stories and I believe Atlanta is primed for a win. This year the Atlanta Falcons have one of the most talented rosters you can have. Starting with the head coach, Dan Quinn, from top to bottom it is hard to find a weak link with this team.

Quinn’s record since joining the Falcons is 36-28. The Falcons have missed the playoffs twice in the four years he’s coached the team. Which means that in this upcoming year Coach Quinn must reach the playoffs or he runs the risk of being replaced.

Julio Jones @juliojones_11 Super Bowl LIV Hey Mikey ATL

The reason Atlanta will be in the Super Bowl this year will be because no other team has the receiving core they have. Julio Jones is unquestionably a Top 3 receiver in the game, if not the best, followed by Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley. All three of these wideouts could be number one options on other teams which means that Matt Ryan has an abundance of weapons. Also at the tight end position they have Austin Hooper, who became a pro bowler last year. He finished with 71 catches for 660 yards and four touchdowns. His 71 receptions were fourth in the league at his position. Last year the Falcons suffered major injuries on defense but the worse one came from the running back position, Devonte Freeman. Atlanta ranked 27th in rushing last year and that will change this year with a healthy Devonte.

Matt Ryan after Super Bowl Loss. @M_Ryan02

I believe the Falcons will defeat the Patriots because they must redeem themselves from losing in the Super Bowl a few years back. The teams in the AFC haven’t shown they can stop the Patriots which is why they’ll represent the AFC. This year the NFC is superior but the Falcons are right there in talent with any of its competitors. With everyone back this year the offense will click and put up 28 points and find a way to hold Tom Brady to 24. But every year it comes down to one person … Matt Ryan. Too many years he throws an interception, fumbles, or takes a sack at the worse possible times. No more excuses this year. Atlanta will win the Super Bowl in South Florida.

If not, Atlanta should flat out release Matt Ryan. It’s time.

nfl rookies 2019

254 new NFL players have been selected by desperate teams in need of desperate help. Today I have selected 5 rookies that will be the most impactful on their squads. There are several of players who are deserving, but 5 come to mind and its not even close.

No.5. Josh Jacobs (Raiders) @iAM_JoshJacobs

Josh Jacobs comes in at number 5 on this list for no other reason than him being the lead running back on the depth chart. Just watch the first 30 seconds of the video above. With Marshawn Lynch retiring last year, look for Josh Jacobs to have an outstanding rookie year.  He’s not the fastest. Or even the strongest, but he has the tools to be one of the best all-around backs in the league. Prediction: 1,000 yard rusher.

No.4. Quinnen Williams (Jets) @QuinnenWilliams

Quinnen Williams Hey Mikey ATL

This 6’3, 303 lb defensive tackle is hard to miss and move. One of my favorite players ever was Vince Wilfork and I’m here to say he’s the 2.0 version. Though the New England Patriots are my favorite team, and has owned the division for almost 20 years, the Jets this year are primed to be in playoff contention. Yes they’ve added Leveon Bell, which should be a great addition to the 28th worse rushing attack but having this big boy in the middle will solidify them for years. Prediction: Probowl Year 1.

No.3. N’Keal Harry (Patriots) @NkealHarry15

Is that Randy Moss? No … but he sure resembles him. If the New England Patriots are to repeat as Super Bowl Champs they are gonna need N’Keal Harry to be a huge factor. With Rob Gronkowski retiring, Josh Gordon finally getting reps, and Julian Edelman in and out of the lineup there is space for this 6’4 monster of a man. With an insane catch radius and surgical hands this wideout is expected to play a HUGE role this upcoming year. Prediction: 1,000 yard season. 10 Touchdowns

No.2. Daniel Jones (NY Giants) @Daniel_Jones10

Daniel Jones Hey Mikey ATL

With the 6th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft the New York Giants select … Daniel Jones, out of Duke! If you’ve been watching the Giants over the last 5 or so years you’ve been painfully reminded of the fact that they’ve needed a young QB for quite some time. I don’t know what to expect from the rookie QB, but I do know teams won’t spend a 6th overall pick on a player who’s going to ride the bench. Its something about Daniel I’ve always liked … maybe it has to do with David Cutcliffe, the QB whisperer. He looked as good as ANYONE in the preseason.  Prediction: Won’t start till week 8

No.1. Kyler Murray (Cardinals) @K1

Kyler Murray Hey Mikey ATL

Murray was the first selection in the 2019 NFL Draft and all eyes are on the Arizona Cardinals this year. The explosiveness from his arm and legs remind me of Micheal Vick, period. Though Kyler may not have some of the necessary parts to win consistently this year, I fully expect Larry Fitzgerald and company to be much more competitive than years past. Yes Murray could be more accurate down the field, and yes Murray is slightly undersized, I still expect Arizona to let the world know that THEY ARE COMING. Prediction: Cardinals go 8-8

I truly do feel like these players are all Hall of Fame caliber. All five of them are in position to start and take control of their own destiny’s. Week one starts next week and I can’t wait!

Really Now? Michael Sam Feels LGBT Community Used & Then Abandoned Him!

Where is Michael Sam? Apparently he has been battling drug addiction and trying to repair his relationship with his family after his short lived NFL career came to an end. As you recall, Michael was the first openly gay player to be drafted into the NFL, facing backlash and scrutiny after being picked up by the Saint Louis Rams, he was subsequently released. One scene included him kissing his then fiance on air. Then he was picked up by the Dallas Cowboys only to be released before playing a single down for the team. Since then, Michael states his life has fallen into despair, and in part blames the LGBT community for his trials, feeling he was made the poster boy for the movement and then abandoned.

In an emotional interview published on Yahoo News, former NFL player Michael Sam recounts how his life fell apart after he was celebrated as the first openly gay player in the NFL.

Sam also criticizes the LGBT community, among others, for not helping him after his life had spiraled out of control…

Sam says he began to abuse drugs and alcohol and lost control of his life.

When he found himself in a one-bedroom apartment in Dallas by the Fall of 2016, he reached out to the LGBT community who had championed him before, as well as other sports organizations and businesses.

Despite the previous support they had shown him, “no one would give me a job,” he said.

“Where was the support that I got for coming out?” Sam added. “I felt like I was used by everyone.”

He was partying, working out and hooked on cocaine. “I felt lost and worthless,” he said.

Sam has since stopped abusing hard drugs after an ayahuasca retreat in Peru. He is working to heal his broken relationship with his family.

We honestly are not sure how to feel about Michael Sam’s placement of blame on the LGBT community. Yes, he is a member of the community, but may feel he did not move strategically with his draft process, let alone the timeliness of his coming out. We are glad he has gotten the help he needs and even happier he is reconnecting with his family, but we honestly feel there needs to be some deep introspection on his part. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments’ section below.

You can see Michael Sam’s entire interview at the head of this article, happy viewing!
