I absolutely hate cases like this especially when I have to give my thoughts on a sexual assault matter. Without us knowing all the facts the New England Patriots  released Antonio Brown from the team. Sexual assault is a very serious matter and should be taken just as serious but I’m torn. Why does it seem like sexual assault victims wait years to speak up?

AB and Tom Brady Hey Mikey ATL

Let’s get into it. Something sexually definitely happened between AB and Brittany Taylor. Antonio Brown was traded from the Pittsburg Steelers to the Oakland Raiders … we heard nothing. He was released from the Oakland Raiders following his off the field antics … we heard nothing. The defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots sign him and then comes Brittany Taylor.  Taylor and Brown met at Central Michigan University where they both attended as student athletes. According to Brown’s lawyer, Taylor approached Brown and asked him to invest 1.6 million dollars in her business, which he declined. Then she resurfaced in 2018 where she approached him about her being his trainer for the upcoming season.  On September 10 of this year Taylor released a statement about Brown raping her.

“As a rape victim of Antonio Brown, deciding to speak out has been an incredibly difficult decision. I have found strength in my faith, my family, and from the accounts of other survivors of sexual assault.  Speaking out removes the shame that I have felt for the past year and places it on the person responsible for my rape. I will cooperate with the NFL and any other agencies; however, at this time, I respectfully request that the media please respect my privacy.”

AB messages to Taylor Hey Mikey ATL

Hopefully you read the emails and massages above because that’s all we have to go off. I hope that any and everyone who assaults someone whether sexually or physical receive what they deserve but I need answers. Whether its Bill Cosby or R.Kelly I’m so tired of these victims coming out years later making claims. Brittany Taylor accused Brown of two different incidents making inappropriate passes but that didn’t stop her wanting to work with him or asking for his money. In the massages AB makes it clear that her mother is involved somehow and that Taylor had some business with his babies mother. Plus his language is absolutely foul and inappropriate. It just sounds messy. I know there are other accusations made towards Brown which is why he was cut from the Patriots. All I know is that one of the best receivers in the NFL is in BIG trouble. The truth will come out!

YIKES! Antonio Brown Files $40M Grievances Against The Raiders & Patriots!

It seems Antonio Brown is not going down without a fight, or at least some cash in hand! Apparently, the now “former” NFL player for both the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots has filed a number of grievances against both teams totaling up to forty million dollars. As you recall, Brown was released from both teams for his bad behavior on social media, behind the scenes, and sexual assault charges by a former female trainer. He even sent one accuser threatening text messages. Antonio is seeking to recoup the money he lost for an unpaid salary, fines, and voided guarantees.

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports that the NFL Player’s Association has filed grievances against the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots on Brown’s behalf. Brown is looking to recoup close to $40 million that he lost to unpaid salary, fines, and voided guarantees.

Brown wants the $29 million he was guaranteed for the 2019 and 2020 seasons from the Raiders. He also wants to recover the $1 million signing bonus, the $215,000 that was garnished due to fines, and the $860,294 he was owed from the week he requested to be traded. As for the Patriots, Brown is seeking the $9 million signing bonus he was never paid, $64,062 from his Week 1 salary, and the remaining $1.025 million of his guaranteed money. This is accompanied by a breach of contract grievance that Brown has reportedly filed against New England.

Although these grievances were filed on Friday, Rapoport believes that Brown won’t get his day in court until the spring. He’s also in for a tough fight. Brown is currently facing a civil lawsuit stemming from claims of sexual assault. The NFL has launched its own separate investigation into these accusations. It is believed that the Patriots cut ties with Brown because he sent one of his accusers threatening text messages.

This story continues to get wilder by the day. We are just hoping justice be served for all parties involved. We will keep you posted.

A “Sports-cast!” Super Bowl LIV Atlanta Falcons defeat New England Patriots 28-24

Don’t call me Miss Cleo but I sense a rematch for Super Bowl 54. Sometimes in sports rematches make for Cinderella stories and I believe Atlanta is primed for a win. This year the Atlanta Falcons have one of the most talented rosters you can have. Starting with the head coach, Dan Quinn, from top to bottom it is hard to find a weak link with this team.

Quinn’s record since joining the Falcons is 36-28. The Falcons have missed the playoffs twice in the four years he’s coached the team. Which means that in this upcoming year Coach Quinn must reach the playoffs or he runs the risk of being replaced.

Julio Jones @juliojones_11 Super Bowl LIV Hey Mikey ATL

The reason Atlanta will be in the Super Bowl this year will be because no other team has the receiving core they have. Julio Jones is unquestionably a Top 3 receiver in the game, if not the best, followed by Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley. All three of these wideouts could be number one options on other teams which means that Matt Ryan has an abundance of weapons. Also at the tight end position they have Austin Hooper, who became a pro bowler last year. He finished with 71 catches for 660 yards and four touchdowns. His 71 receptions were fourth in the league at his position. Last year the Falcons suffered major injuries on defense but the worse one came from the running back position, Devonte Freeman. Atlanta ranked 27th in rushing last year and that will change this year with a healthy Devonte.

Matt Ryan after Super Bowl Loss. @M_Ryan02

I believe the Falcons will defeat the Patriots because they must redeem themselves from losing in the Super Bowl a few years back. The teams in the AFC haven’t shown they can stop the Patriots which is why they’ll represent the AFC. This year the NFC is superior but the Falcons are right there in talent with any of its competitors. With everyone back this year the offense will click and put up 28 points and find a way to hold Tom Brady to 24. But every year it comes down to one person … Matt Ryan. Too many years he throws an interception, fumbles, or takes a sack at the worse possible times. No more excuses this year. Atlanta will win the Super Bowl in South Florida.

If not, Atlanta should flat out release Matt Ryan. It’s time.

nfl rookies 2019

254 new NFL players have been selected by desperate teams in need of desperate help. Today I have selected 5 rookies that will be the most impactful on their squads. There are several of players who are deserving, but 5 come to mind and its not even close.

No.5. Josh Jacobs (Raiders) @iAM_JoshJacobs

Josh Jacobs comes in at number 5 on this list for no other reason than him being the lead running back on the depth chart. Just watch the first 30 seconds of the video above. With Marshawn Lynch retiring last year, look for Josh Jacobs to have an outstanding rookie year.  He’s not the fastest. Or even the strongest, but he has the tools to be one of the best all-around backs in the league. Prediction: 1,000 yard rusher.

No.4. Quinnen Williams (Jets) @QuinnenWilliams

Quinnen Williams Hey Mikey ATL

This 6’3, 303 lb defensive tackle is hard to miss and move. One of my favorite players ever was Vince Wilfork and I’m here to say he’s the 2.0 version. Though the New England Patriots are my favorite team, and has owned the division for almost 20 years, the Jets this year are primed to be in playoff contention. Yes they’ve added Leveon Bell, which should be a great addition to the 28th worse rushing attack but having this big boy in the middle will solidify them for years. Prediction: Probowl Year 1.

No.3. N’Keal Harry (Patriots) @NkealHarry15

Is that Randy Moss? No … but he sure resembles him. If the New England Patriots are to repeat as Super Bowl Champs they are gonna need N’Keal Harry to be a huge factor. With Rob Gronkowski retiring, Josh Gordon finally getting reps, and Julian Edelman in and out of the lineup there is space for this 6’4 monster of a man. With an insane catch radius and surgical hands this wideout is expected to play a HUGE role this upcoming year. Prediction: 1,000 yard season. 10 Touchdowns

No.2. Daniel Jones (NY Giants) @Daniel_Jones10

Daniel Jones Hey Mikey ATL

With the 6th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft the New York Giants select … Daniel Jones, out of Duke! If you’ve been watching the Giants over the last 5 or so years you’ve been painfully reminded of the fact that they’ve needed a young QB for quite some time. I don’t know what to expect from the rookie QB, but I do know teams won’t spend a 6th overall pick on a player who’s going to ride the bench. Its something about Daniel I’ve always liked … maybe it has to do with David Cutcliffe, the QB whisperer. He looked as good as ANYONE in the preseason.  Prediction: Won’t start till week 8

No.1. Kyler Murray (Cardinals) @K1

Kyler Murray Hey Mikey ATL

Murray was the first selection in the 2019 NFL Draft and all eyes are on the Arizona Cardinals this year. The explosiveness from his arm and legs remind me of Micheal Vick, period. Though Kyler may not have some of the necessary parts to win consistently this year, I fully expect Larry Fitzgerald and company to be much more competitive than years past. Yes Murray could be more accurate down the field, and yes Murray is slightly undersized, I still expect Arizona to let the world know that THEY ARE COMING. Prediction: Cardinals go 8-8

I truly do feel like these players are all Hall of Fame caliber. All five of them are in position to start and take control of their own destiny’s. Week one starts next week and I can’t wait!
