Murda Beatz, Blaqnmild, Corey Litwin, and Noah “40” Shebib produced the track. It samples Lauryn Hill’s Miseducation classic “Ex-Factor” and was previously previewed by her son on social media.

The hypnotic cut also acts as an empowerment anthem full of affirmations. “That’s a real one in your reflection,” he raps. “Without a follow, without a mention / You rarely pipin’ up on these ni**as / You gotta be nice for what to these ni**as?”

To go along with the new song, Drake also unleashed its star-studded video. Directed by Karena Evans, the stunning clip features striking portraits of impressive stars, including Tiffany Haddish, Rashida Jones, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, and many more.

We have to say we are here for this music video! Drake is really stepping out of the box with his music videos nowadays, as you recall in God’s Plan he gave out nearly $900K to people in need. Keep doing what you are doing Drake and we just might find ourselves “Drake-ing” this summer!

[VIDEO] The Dopest Animated Promo! Check Out “Ye vs. The People!”

Kanye West has definitely become one of the most controversial people on the planet. Whereas we loved him for his crazy style and bravado, nowadays people–especially Black people–have mixed feelings about him following his commentary on slavery, basically stating it was a choice. One of the opponents to his thoughts and point of view has been none other than the self-proclaimed, “King of The South,” TI.

Interestingly, most people have not been hip to the buzz that Kanye West and TI dropped a single called Ye vs. The People,  where both of the rappers presented their sides of the argument, with TI being the self-appointed “Voice of The People.” Producer, Cory Mo, and animator, Cartoon Buck, released an animated music video for the single and we LOVE it!

The video really captivates both sides of the argument and perhaps is how a real rap debate should go–where people actually listen to each others’ sides and agree to disagree. We met Cory Mo, through author, screenwriter, and producer, Kimberly Jones (About Him, About Her). “Me and my partner did an animated video for Big Boi’s single he dropped about six months ago, the one by Big Boi, Gucci, and Pimp C [“In The South”]. When that song came out I felt the message was just so dope that we had to go with this song. We haven’t really presented to them, but we did it to let them know we do animated videos.”Cory Mo reveals.

Surprisingly Corey Mo remains mostly neutral when it comes to taking sides, seeing validity in both of their arguments. “I’m not necessarily on either side. I understand TI 100%, but Kanye isn’t really saying anything malicious. They both have valid points. He’s just fucked up, wearing that maggot hat thinking he’s going to change people…I felt its a dope ass message and people need to see the shit. Me and my boy, [Cartoon] Buck, are just with it and trying to put our footprint on the thing.”

Cory Mo and Cartoon Buck are super talented and we are really hoping this animated music video goes viral! Check out their other aforementioned video below, In The South! Happy viewing!
