Roll out the red carpet – the Teen Titans are heading to Hollywood! #TeenTitansGOMovie

Your favorite–and goofy–teen superheroes are taking a break from Cartoon Network  and hitting the Big Screen!

via ComingSoon.net

The animated film will feature the voice cast of the series, including Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven, and Hynden Walch as Starfire. In the film, they reprise their roles from the Cartoon Network series, which follows the crime fighting adventures and antics of the young Super Hero roommates. Will Arnett will voice Slade Wilson, Kristen Bell is Jade Wilson, James Corden is Balloon Man, Halsey is Wonder Woman, Lil Yachty is Green Lantern, and Nicolas Cage will voice Superman.

When the Teen Titans go to the big screen, they go big! Teen Titans GO! to the Movies finds our egocentric, wildly satirical Super Heroes in their first feature film extravaganza—a fresh, gleefully clever, kid-appropriately crass and tongue-in-cheek play on the superhero genre, complete with musical numbers. It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

The film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, from a screenplay by Michael Jelenic and Horvath, based on characters from DC. Michail, Will Arnett and Peggy Regan are producing, with Sam Register, Jelenic and Horvath serving as executive producers. Apart from Arnett, all are Teen Titans GO! series contributors.

Set to hit theaters on July 27, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

[REVIEW] Crazy–Rich–Fun! “Crazy Rich Asians” (@CrazyRichMovie) is Summer 2018’s Close Out Hit!

It is hard to believe it has been twenty-five years since we have seen a movie with an all-Asian cast. There are so many talented Asian actors that it seems rather absurd. Then, usually when we think of Asian dominated films we think of period pieces like The Joy Luck Club or Memoirs of a Geisha. However, one new movie, based off the best-selling novel, Crazy Rich Asians, is making waves with critics everywhere and we are here for it!

Crazy Rich Asians centers on Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) a gifted economics professor at New York University who unbeknownst to her lands millionaire playboy, Nick Young (Henry Golding), as her boyfriend. Rachel soon learns of what it means to be in Henry’s world when she travels to Singapore with him to attend his best friend’s wedding and meet his family. She soon learns the intricacies, relationships, forged by Nick’s family are not only steeped in tradition, but at times hostile; especially when it comes to his mother Eleanor Young (Michelle Yeoh) of her.

This film truly had something for everyone. We love the romance, drama, comedy, and sense of family we got from it. The cast was stellar and we were introduced to some pretty amazing actors. Constance and Henry have natural, believable chemistry as Rachel and Nick. We are not sure if they are dating in real life, but we would love it if they were.

Jemma Chan as "Astrid Leong" in "Crazy Rich Asians" movie

Our two other favorite characters are none other than “Astrid Leong” and “Goh Peik Lin” played by Jemma Chan and Awkwafina, respectively. Jemma is BEAUTIFUL! As Astrid she is classic, regal, and well put together–the epitome of poise. Her character’s development is nothing short of moving. Meanwhile Awkwafina’s character can definitely be described as an “Asian Tiffany Haddish, (Girls Trip style)!”

This movie is definitely one to support. As minorities representation and inclusion are very important. We definitely recognized this with Marvel’s Black Panther earlier this year and now it is time to show our Asian brothers and sisters the same love. We did it and they will too!

We are definitely going to see Crazy Rich Asians again and this time we are bringing ALL our friends. Singapore trip, anyone? Catch this movie in theaters everywhere, Wednesday, August 15th!

Enter the world of Billy Batson, aka “Earth’s Mightiest Mortal” and the superhero, Shazam!

Warner Bros. is cranking out these trailer for its film and television series left and right at Comic-Con this year and it looks like it’s Shazam’s turn. You can see the full trainer above!

Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer in Shazam

Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer in Shazam! (2019)

From what we can tell from the trailer this will very much be an origin story and a coming of age tale, as Billy Batson (Asher Angel) juggles having to learn how to be a superhero with godlike powers while being an adolescent boy. Accompanying him is Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer), his foster brother, who in a sense is training him and helping him realize just how amazing he is. For those of you who are familiar with the Shazam (Zachary Levi) mythos, then you know what Freddy is destined to become his sidekick, Captain Marvel, Jr./CM3, with all of Shazam’s powers, but weakened if they are both using their super powered forms at the same time.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as “Black Adam”

We really wish the trailer had finally given us a glimpse of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as “Black Adam,” the film’s villain. Black Adam is recurring foe of Shazam’s and the first human to have gained those same powers thousands of years ago, just drawing them from a different set of gods, warriors, and demigods (the stamina of Shu, the swiftness of Heru (Horus), the strength of Amon, the wisdom of Zehuti (Thoth), the power of Aton, and the courage of Mehen).

Shazam will also be facing Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong), another archenemy who similar to Lex Luthor is an evil genius! You all just be sure to catch Shazam in theaters everywhere April 15, 2019! Happy viewing!
