The Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded a little more this week with the release of its latest superhero film and the completion of a trilogy with Thor: Ragnarok!

This time around our favorite god of thunder and Avenger, finds himself in the middle of another family feud with the fate of The Nine Realms and the universe itself in danger!

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) returns to Asgard to find his brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), up to his same mischief and quickly dispatches him before dragging him along to find their father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). With a little help from Earth’s new Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), they manage to find him–ailing. With his last words he tells them of their sister, The Goddess of Death, Hela (Cate Blanchett)! Unlike Thor or Loki who are satiated with Earth and Asgard, respectively. Our Thunderer has to enlist the unlikely help of The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), friends, and a surprising new ally to avoid Ragnarok and save his people.

This film is definitely action-packed! Thor took on some major villains in Hela and Surtur, and his rival, The Hulk. With the former it’s always the god of thunder going up against other forces of nature; in the case death and destruction! It is honestly a foreshadowing of the even more powerful villain he will face in Avengers: Infinity WarThanos! You will love Cate Blanchett as Hela, she screams Cruella De Ville meets all-powerful goddess. Surprisingly, the film was really funny! You will love the one liners, reads, and banter of all the characters. You just be sure to catch it in theaters everywhere today–and stay for two additional scenes post-credit! Let us know what you think of the film afterwards by sounding off in the comments’ section below!

With “The Dark Knight,” Nolan broke new ground—shooting select sequences of the movie with IMAX film cameras—making “The Dark Knight” the first major feature film to utilize IMAX 70mm film and take advantage of the format’s massive scale and increased resolution.  The movie was hailed by both critics and audiences and went on to be the top-grossing release of 2008.  In the years since, Nolan has continued to pioneer the use of IMAX film cameras, employing them on an even greater scale in “The Dark Knight Rises,” as well as “Interstellar” and, most recently, “Dunkirk.”

The exclusive limited engagement will offer the public an extremely rare opportunity to see “The Dark Knight” on the biggest screens possible, as it was intended to be seen—in IMAX 70mm film—offering a uniquely immersive cinematic experience.

“The Dark Knight” stars Christian Bale in the title role and Heath Ledger, who won an Oscar for his performance as The Joker.  The ensemble cast also includes Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Morgan Freeman.

Nolan directed “The Dark Knight” from a screenplay written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer.  Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan produced the film.  Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull served as executive producers.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Syncopy Production, a Christopher Nolan film.  “The Dark Knight,” is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics.  Batman was created by Bob Kane.  The film is being re-released by Warner Bros. Warner Bros. has released the one sheet for Aquaman and it looks nothing short of amazing. Check it out below:

From the one sheet we can definitely Aquaman will not be a “fish out of water” so to speak. He is definitely in his element with this underwater motif. We are hoping a good chunk of the film actually shows him fighting underwater, similar to the underwater fight scenes between Aquaman, his wife, Mera, and Steppenwolf in Justice League (look above). In this film the hero will fighting his own brother, Orin, aka “Ocean Master!”

We are also excited about the new trailer coming this Saturday! It only ups the ante for this film, definitely giving us something hot to look forward to in the colder months. Be sure you check back here for more Aquaman news as it develops!

When we last saw Scott Lang, aka the second “Ant-Man,” he was in Captain America: Civil War, where he was recruited by Captain America to fight off Iron Man and a few other heroes to save Winter Soldier and stop Baron Zemo. However, Scott was subsequently arrested for his actions and placed on house arrest for two years, alienating himself from Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), the original Ant-Man and his daughter, Hope Van Dyne. Flash forward to present day and Hope has become a superhero herself, operating with her father and utilizing a modified version of her mother, Janet’s (Michelle Phifer), Wasp suit equipped with wings and “stingers” that can fire blasts of electrical energy. Hank may have discovered a means of rescuing Janet from the Quantum Universe just as the latter telepathically reaches out to Scott. Hope and Hank reluctantly enlist Scott’s help in saving her, but a mysterious villain with quantum powers of her own, Ghost, wants their technology for herself. Scott and Hope will have to team up as Ant-Man and Wasp to not only save Janet, but keep Hank’s shrinking technology out of the government and organized crimes’ clutches!

We have to say this film was pretty good. The story line and plot prove that Marvel can still do some pretty awesome smaller movies after Avengers: Infinity War–which, without spoiling anything, will play a part in this film. However, the real star of the film is Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp! She not only proved herself to be a superior fighter, hero, and partner, but kept us on our toes. She could definitely go toe to toe with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow! Paul Rudd is definitely the funny man in the film as Scott/Ant-Man, and we definitely love the humor, but we would really have liked to see his character cut loose a little more.

Marvel definitely is working on how it deals with its villains. Alas, we have another villain we can sympathize with in “Ghost” (Hannah John-Kamen). Making the character female and placing her fighting skills on par with Wasp’s gave us the rivalry we live for. Also, those phasing powers were pretty amazing–Shadowcat or Phantom Girl much? Bill Foster’s (Lawrence Fishburne) appearance was also amazing. In the comics he is Goliath, with a power set similar to Giant-Man’s, is one of Marvel’s first Black superheroes.

All in all, we are definitely hoping for another Ant-Man and Wasp film IF the ramifications of another Marvel event are rectified. Were you marked safe during Infinity War?
