“The Bat” has found its “Cat!” It is being reported that actress, Zoe Kravitz has been cast as Batman’s cat burgler/love interest/sometimes ally, Selina Kyle, better known as “Catwoman” in the upcoming Batman film by Matt Reeves. The film, starring Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, will showcase Bruce Wayne’s early years as The Caped Crusader.

Zoe’s casting does not come at a complete surprise. The producers of the film announced they were looking for a woman of color to portray Catwoman and she among others like Sanaa Lathan, Keke Palmer, and even former Star cast members, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady were on the shortlist for the highly sought after role. Zoe is a great choice as she exudes the mystique and sex appeal of the character, and she is no stranger to comic book roles or action movies. As you may recall she was Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class and Christina in the Divergent films.

Catwoman is an important part of the Batman mythos, and is easily one of comic’s most layered characters. She may very well be the epitome of a woman who has her own, on her own, and is only on her own side. Being an Olympic level athlete armed with advanced thieving skills, martial arts, razor sharp claws, and a cat o’ nine tails whip she is a true “Feline Fatale!” Congrats Zoe we cannot wait to watch you kill this role!

We really wish we could “say it ain’t so,” but the swan song has played and it’s official Kenya Moore, and her husband, Marc Daley have announced they are divorcing. The beautiful couple are calling it quits after just two years of marriage. To some it comes as a shock, to others it was expected as Marc was never to keen on being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, or Kenya’s return to the drama of the series–and there’s been plenty leading up to the debut of the twelfth season.

We really hate to see Marc and Kenya break up. They are such a beautiful couple. It looks like the reality television curse on relationships continues. This all also comes as a shocker to us after we just saw them discussing their fertility issues on the Tamron Hall Show,  where she discussed having to stick herself with hormone shots and take suppositories just so they could conceive little Brooklyn. Hopefully these two will be great co-parents and maybe even friends for her sake. Well Kenya welcome to RHOA these next two seasons for you are about to be LIT!

It is never a good look or a good time when two ladies we love so much are at odds on such a controversial topic. Apparently, Pose star and trans activist, Indya Moore, is displeased with Claudia Jordan’s recent comments and questions concerning transgender people. In fact, she has outright declared Claudia’s comments and inquiries to be transphobic and off center to more important issues in the trans community; like the high number of murders of transgender women of color.

The tift began when Claudia tweeted the following after her interview with actor Malik Yoba, who recently revealed he is attracted to transgender women and came onto her radio show, The All New Morning Rush on 105.7 Dallas, for an interview and to discuss the forthcoming Visibility March set for September 28th in Washington, D.C.

As you can see above Indya, as a transgender woman,  was offended. When it comes to interaction with transgender people it is considered rude and offensive to bring up their genitalia as it relates to their gender identity. This can be especially offensive coming from a cisgender (denoting or relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender corresponds with their birth sex) person.

Indya’s retort including the murder of so many transgender women of color, the most recent being a seventeen year old girl who found tied up and burned to death in a car is heart wrenching and timely. Claudia may have been genuinely asking from a place of trying to understand, but with a topic that sensitive and still taboo, she should have done some research surrounding the etiquette needed when discussing this subject matter. Indya recently wore earrings with portraits of all the aforementioned murdered transgender women this year. We hope these two can come to a place of understanding over this issue. They are both such fun, beautiful, and talented women!
