Per documents obtained by The Blast, Songz (birth name Tremaine Neverson) is being sued by an unnamed Georgia woman. According to the lawsuit, the incident took place on Jan. 1, 2018. The singer reportedly invited her to Miami’s E11even nightclub after celebrating New Year’s Eve at Diddy’s house. It was in his VIP section at E11even where the assault is said to have taken place.

“[Songz] sexually assaulted and battered Jane Doe by proceeding to forcefully place his hand under her dress, without her consent, and attempting to insert his fingers into Jane Doe’s vagina without her consent or permission,” the lawsuit reads.

The victim went on to claim she was not the only woman subjected to assault. Per the documents, another woman confided in her that Songz put his hands down her pants as well. The second victim told the unnamed woman that Songz forcefully touched her butt without consent.

“Neverson intentionally created an offer of bodily injury to Plaintiff by force under circumstances that created a well-founded fear of imminent peril in Plaintiff and Neverson had the present ability to effectuate his attempts to produce bodily injury towards Plaintiff when he reached under her skirt and attempted to insert his fingers into her vagina,” the lawsuit claims.

Songz alleged attack has led the Jane Doe to seek more than $10 million from the artist. These damages are the result of the assault and battery as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

This is not the first time Trey Songz has been tangled up in a legal battle regarding a woman. In September, the alleged victim of a domestic assault at the hands of Songz dropped her lawsuit. Andrea Buera claimed that the assault took place during All-Star Weekend in 2018. The singer’s legal team claimed that he acted in self-defense and Buera eventually ended her lawsuit.

Trey should probably begin watching his interaction with women closely. He seems to find himself in trouble pretty regularly. As you recall, he claims self-defense over an alleged assault on a woman at an NBA game. We will keep you posted as this story continues to unfold!

The world could use more fun surprises right now. The staff at University of Washington Medical Center’s Montlake emergency room received one Monday courtesy of one the hottest stars in pop music.

At a time when hospitals are grappling with the rapid rise in COVID-19 patients, hard-twerking pop phenom Lizzo treated the ER staff to lunch, her publicist confirmed. The hip-hop/pop star apparently sent food to a number of hospitals, including a University of Minnesota affiliate in Minneapolis, where Lizzo began her career. The publicist said she sent food to hospitals “that were hit really hard for staff working around the clock.”

In a video message shared by the university Monday evening, Lizzo thanked the UW emergency room workers “from the bottom of my heart and all of the hearts of the world.”

“Shout out to all of y’all for being so brave and working so hard, making sure that we’re safe and healthy and healing people,” Lizzo said in the video, seen below. “That is incredible. You guys are heroes. And so the least I could do was send you some lunch.”

Besides the Seattle based hospital she also assisted a number of other hospitals including  hospitals, including a University of Minnesota affiliate in Minneapolis. We really appreciate Lizzo doing her part during this pandemic. These are perilous times and we need everyone to do their part by donating what they can and/or simply abiding by the parameters of quarantine and social distancing.

Keys, 39, detailed the photoshoot in her new memoir, “More Myself,” writing that the shutterbug convinced her team he needed to photograph her alone and then told her, “Open up your shirt a little” and “Pull the top of your jeans down a bit in the front.”

“My spirit is screaming that something is wrong, that this feels sleazy. But my protests, lodged in the back of my throat, can’t make their way out,” Keys writes. “I swallow my misgivings, tuck my thumb between the denim and my skin, and obey.”

The singer, who at the time was preparing for the release of her debut album “Songs in A Minor,” says she went home and cried after the shoot.

“This isn’t about me showing some skin, which I’ll do on my own terms, for my own purposes, in the coming years,” she writes. “It’s about feeling manipulated. It’s about being objectified.”

She said her manager at the time was appalled when he saw the magazine cover a few months later and Keys says she didn’t recognize the woman in the photo and was “embarrassed” and “ashamed” of it.

“I now understand why the photographer wanted my team out of that room,” she writes. “A nineteen-year-old girl is more pliable than a set of her grown-ass managers.”

On the day of the magazine’s release, she said she wanted to throw up when she saw it on newsstands.

“I swear that I’ll never again let someone rob me of my power,” Keys writes, adding, “It’s a promise I still work to keep.”

We really hate hearing this happened to Alicia, but we hate it even more for young girls who went through similar situations without the voice or platform to speak out against it. It is all rather disgusting actually. Let’s look out for our ladies.

William Shakespeare penned, “The course of true love never did run smooth.” There are few statements as real or true. Love is a journey; and a relationship requires massive amounts of time, commitment, trust, and patience on top of said love. One amazing couple, Dwayne and Theresa Bowe know this all too well, but they are committed to one another and the process–one we get to see weekly on OWN’s newest reality series, “Love Goals!”

“Love Goals” brings together married couples in a group setting where each pair are forced to confront the issues plaguing their relationships. Family, friends, infidelity, and fighting all come to the forefront. Although it makes for great television, the real gem is the work done to restore and repair the love, trust, and understanding between these couples. When it comes to The Bowes, the outright drama is a bit toned down, but nonetheless moving. Dwayne is a former NFL player who since retirement has embraced his original passion, music, and is now a rising star in the rap world under the moniker of “Money” His wife, Theresa, besides being an amazing mother is a successful realtor and businesswoman.  After Dwayne’s retirement Theresa thought they would have more time together, but Dwayne’s commitment to his music and his friends’ constant circling left her dismayed and feeling pushed aside. Meanwhile, Dwayne felt it was his responsibility to uplift his friends, and remain grounded by keeping them around.

The couple sought out counseling via OWN’s “Love Goals,” instead of private counseling, due to their faith in the network. “Well it was more so the opportunity that came from the OWN network [sic]. So we were against reality TV, we were very private about our lives, but we knew going this route we would have the best of the best. It was going to be no shortcuts especially when you’re dealing with the OWN network [sic]…” Theresa reveals. Dwayne admits he too had some reservations, despite having already been in the public eye as a professional athlete and now rapper. “I was more reserved. You know when I retired I felt my life was going to go under the radar…Then like you said it’s always trying times in any relationship and when they said the young lady, Spirit [relation expert/therapist of “Love Goals”], and they said it wasn’t TMZ, it’s Oprah…those are the main people I follow, I was sure it would be something positive, pretty reputable. We did it and I recommend it for anybody else…”

Besides, The Bowes, other couples included Benzino and Althea Heart, formerly of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta;” actress and former “Basketball Wives” star Sundy Carter and Breyon Williams; former Salt-n-Peppa group member Dee Dee “Spinderella” Roper and comedian Quenton “Q” Coleman, plus rapper/actor/chef and producer Coolio and his fiancé, Mimi Ivey. With so many different personalities and relationships in one place, you might expect The Bowes to be a bit dismayed. “…seeing it day one it was very intense. You watch TV and you see people’s lives and you think that it’s fake; then you get to meet them in person and you realize that it’s real. And him [Dwayne] and I we’re not you [sic] know at each other’s throats, we’re not disrespectful to each other. Just to see certain things in real life. The first episode I was super shocked the whole time. My whole facial expressions showed it. I was just like wow…” Theresa reveals. Dwayne, however, relays how trust was his first big challenge on their first day through an unlikely exercise. “…the first day they put us through so much training. When you watch it they had me like fifty feet in the air walking a thin line blindfolded, just her voice. They said I could hear her but I really can’t hear her. So it was real tough. It just made me realize who I got in my corner and to really focus in on the prize.”

Easily the most moving discussion with The Bowes comes from Theresa’s revelation of having been molested by her mother’s boyfriend as a child and how subsequently it affected her marriage. It was a secret not even Dwayne knew until she revealed it in a session on the show. “Through the experience we touched on childhood trauma, and we touched on me being molested at twelve years old. He never knew that, so him having all the guys around was just because he was use to it. So this is when I realized my husband loves me because after I told him that dark secret that I held my whole life, I saw him making changes when we got home…and had I told him sooner I think things would have been different.” Dwayne confirms the changes and then went on to state; “It was just the space I was in. When you’re playing a game where you’re around twenty people everyday, and then you’re doing music and you’re around twenty people everyday…and then I’m a businessman, a family man…I just had to put everything in order…” Theresa has opted to use her experience to create a children’s book and movement, “Don’t Touch Me” to teach children how to recognize sexual predators–strangers and those they know. With these tools she plans to do a school tour and has created a song to accompany it.

We have to say we love Dwayne and Theresa, and are more than happy this entire experience was beneficial for their marriage. The Bowes are now going strong eleven years and counting, and that is a true “Love Goal” for us all. You can view their entire interview with Kontrol Magazine’s Executive Editor & CEO of HeyMikeyATL.com below! You all be sure to catch “Love Goals” every Saturday 8/9c PM only on OWN!
