No Money Moves? Tyrese’s Financial Records Allege He is BROKE!

Published

We are definitely hoping 2018 proves to be a much better year than 2018 has been for singer/actor Tyrese Gibson! As you know he has been marred by a custody battle over his daughter after he allegedly abused her, has an ongoing celebrity beef with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (threatening to quit the Fast & Furious franchise if  he’s in the next one), and then lying stating Will and Jada Smith were giving him five million dollars to help with his legal fees and bills!

Well to add insult to injury it looks like Tyrese really needed that money, because according to his recently released financial statements he is BROKE!

via Love B. Scott & TMZ

Tyrese might need to dance to make some money moves.

According to his latest court filing, he owes a bunch of money.

via TMZ:

Tyrese submitted legal docs to the court in his ongoing war with ex-wife Norma Gibson, detailing his financials.

The actor pulls in $105,686 every month. That’s sweet, except when you look at what he spends.  Tyrese says his monthly net is $107,576, which puts him in the red.

The docs say Tyrese has $884,658 in the bank. He also has real property worth around $1.7 mil.

There’s another problem … he owes his lawyers $133,750.

Yikes! This is definitely not a good look for Tyrese. We are really surprised to learn he is not banking. He has had successful albums and movies for years. Perception is one helluva an illusion we suppose. Still, he constantly states how he and his cast members on the Fast & Furious franchise are a family. Maybe he needs to ask Vinn Diesel, Ludacris, or Michelle Rodriguez for a loan.  Tyrese, it might be time to eat a little crow, squash this beef with The Rock, and make friends with the franchise again because you need that check last yesterday!

Lalah Hathaway Rolling Out

The Hathaways, Gays, O’Jays, Jacksons, DeBarges, Ross/Gordy are the most important families in our music history. Their legacies influence and impact, generation after generation. One member of the aforementioned dynasties continues to wow us. Her government name is Eulaulah Donyll Hathaway, with her forename meaning the highest praise when spelled backwards. And to us, this legend is affectionately known as “Lalah.” She’s collaborated with eminent talents like Pharrell Williams on the Hidden Figuressoundtrack, and Kendrick Lamar, to name a couple. Her performance history, meanwhile, has seen invitations to the stage from epic artists including Prince; Stevie Wonder; Herbie Hancock and Anita Baker. With her new album honestly now available online and in-stores, there are no limits.

Hathaway has shaped a career so impressive; having an autographed CD of hers is enviable. It’s a collector’s item, real memorabilia that won’t escape your history box; a selfie as currency isn’t enough. It’s industry veterans like Hathaway who detest social media during live shows for many reasons.

“When it comes to social media, Hathaway’s wish is for fans to enjoy the moment, the live experience. She shares, “When I am trying to connect with people in the crowd and I’m seeing iPads instead of faces, it’s this reminder that people don’t feel like it’s real unless it’s in their phones now. I really hate it for them that they pay for a ticket and basically come to look at YouTube. They are missing the real life experience!”

A five-time Grammy Award winner, including wins as Artist and Producer for 2017’s Best R&B Album Lalah Hathaway Live, Hathaway recently completed a six-week run with the “Strength of a Woman” tour opening for Mary J. Blige and as she sits in our studio at rolling out headquarters in Atlanta’s West Midtown section, she opens up about her yearning to sleep in her own bed, cook a meal and play with her 11-year-old Bichon Frise, Boston, while she catches up on her favorite shows that she’s TiVo’d – especially HBO’s “Insecure.”

Her newest offering, honestly is an invitation to go on a “journey that is intimate, disruptive and, time-appropriately, honest.”

This is true poetry! You can catch the rest of Lalah’s amazing interview by clicking here. Happy reading!
