We have to admit we are “late to the party” with this story, but when you the ladies are finally–and positively–giving a brother his due then there is no expiration date we will adhere to! Black Panther star, and new heartthrob, Winston Duke is out here living his best life and now has confidence in his features–all according to him–thank to Black Women.

‘Black Panther’ star Winston Duke recently sat down for an interview with Newsweek where he revealed that the love he received from Black women for his scene-stealing role as M’Baku has helped him gain self-confidence.

“At the end of the day, it’s been women from all over the world and all different cultures, but it was really started and driven by Black women and I wanna thank them for that,” says. “I have not always been in a position to think that the things that made me who I am have always been positive. My height and my size have also made me look like an aggressor without trying. And to now be in a space where they’re saying that’s what makes me beautiful and that’s what makes me disarming, that’s really humbling and it feels really good.”

It is amazing to see our sisters uplifting a brother. We have to admit we found  Winston instantly attractive when we first laid eyes on him. It is not everyday a movie cast a supporting character that is just as attractive, and by some standards, more attractive than its leads. There is a rumor buzzing about a M’Baku spinoff of Black Panther and we would definitely welcome it. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War he may very well be Wakanda’s last great leader (alongside Okoye!).

Catch his interview in its entirety above! Happy viewing!

“Foursaken”–Late New Birth Pastor, Bishop Eddie L. Long’s, Accusers to Write a Tell-All Book!

It has been a year and half since Bishop Eddie L. Long succumbed to pancreatic cancer, and seven years since several young men accused him of coercing them into sexual acts. These young men settled outside of court for an amount alleged to be in the millions for their silence. The toll on Bishop Long’s church, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, however, has been greatly affected, tarnishing the church’s reputation and the size of it congregation has never quite recovered. Surprisingly, however, Long’s accusers are now set to release a tell-all book, Foursaken.

Jamal Parris and Spencer LeGrande were among four young men who accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual coercion in 2010. Their lawsuit against him was settled in May 2011. (Channel 2 Action News) (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

Spencer LeGrande told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he is collaborating, along with some of Long’s other accusers from a 2010 lawsuit, on a novel.

The roman a clef — “Foursaken” — centers around a scandal involving the charismatic preacher of a thriving megachurch. While technically a work of fiction, LeGrande said there should be no doubt the sordid tale of power and betrayal is one they experienced firsthand.

“The last man standing is the strongest,” said LeGrande, now 30 and living in Charlotte.

LaGrande, along with former New Birth Missionary Baptist Church members Maurice Robinson, Anthony Flagg and Jamaal Parris, shared similar accounts about their relationship with Long, who, they alleged, filled a void left by absent or abusive fathers.

An undisclosed financial settlement reached in 2011, after a fifth accuser, Centino Kemp, came forward, prevents them from discussing Long or New Birth.

The 2010 civil lawsuit claimed Long used “monetary funds from the accounts of New Birth and other corporate and non-profit corporate accounts to entice the young men with cars, clothes, jewelry, and electronics.”

Each alleged that, once they reached the age of consent, Long coerced them into sexual relationships. Though he agreed to pay for their silence, Long continued to deny their allegations.

What do you guys think of this latest turn of events? Should Bishop Long’s accusers release this book without consequences? Sound off in the comments’ section below!

We have nothing but prayers, pride, and love for Michelle Williams. It takes a strong person to realize they need help and a wiser one to understand that mental illness is a serious issue.

When we have people who would rather commit suicide than seek professional help we really need to uplift the ones who choose to stay, fight, and live. God bless you Michelle, we love ya honey!

“We Are All Self-Made…” Kim K (@kimkardashian) Defends Kylie Jenner, After Forbes Backlash!

It looks like it is “Big Sister to the rescue” in the “Kardashian Kamp,” as Kim is stepping up to defend her youngest sister, Kylie Jenner, after her controversial cover story in Forbes Magazine.
As you recall, Kylie is set to become the youngest billionaire in history, being worth nearly 900 million dollars thanks to her make up and cosmetic lines. No one denies her success, but many argue that she is not a self-made billionaire having come from an already wealthy family and being given a head start thanks to social media and reality television from a rather young age. Kim not only states Kylie is self-made, but also expresses she does not understand the backlash.

on’t mess with Kim Kardashian West’s siblings.

The mother of three, 37, came to her little sister Kylie Jenner’s defense after the latter came under fire for her Forbes cover in which she was called “the youngest-ever self-made billionaire” at 20-years-old.

Kardashian West recently told Refinery29 she “really didn’t get” the backlash“because she is ‘self-made,’ ” explaining that she was proud of the creative way in which her sister took “an insecurity of her and [found] out how to make a really successful business off of it,” referring to Jenner’s lips.

“We are all ‘self-made,’” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star said. “What, because we came from a family that has had success? To me, that doesn’t really make sense… I know so many people like that [who] haven’t turned out to be as successful as Kylie. If anything, I’ve seen the complete opposite.”

Kardashian West added, “Me, Kylie, not one [of the KarJenner siblings] has ever depended on our parents for anything besides advice.”

Many, including us, would beg to differ about Kim’s last statement. When you grow up with parents like Robert Kardashian, Sr. and Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn), a celebrity lawyer and Olympian, respectively; and managed by Kris Jenner you have virtually unlimited resources. We are not hating on Kylie’s success by any means, however, we do feel her being described as “self-made” is not only a fallacy–IT’S A REACH!
